Your first visit to the Ottawa Hair Loss and Wellness Clinic

At our clinic, we have a holistic approach to how we treat and attend to all hair loss cases. So, when you book your first consultation, you will be required to not wash your hair for at least 48 hours before your first visit. This is due to the fact that shampooing can wash away some of your vital evidence that we need to diagnose your problem. It is also useful to bring with you any herbal remedies, medications, a list of hair products that you use on a regular basis. Also, an updated blood results (if you have one).

During your consultation to our clinic, you will be asked questions about your health, diet, family history and how you care for your hair. Your hair and scalp will be closely examined and sometimes hair samples are taken for microscopic examination. After diagnosis and explanation of the problem, the best form of treatment or management will be suggested. All this process is important to ensure that we do not miss a thing and proffer the best treatment or management. We care about you and your issues, so we will do our best to get to understand the root cause and come up with a solution.

Visitation to our hair loss and wellness clinic is for different reasons. Example of this is to have relief from various scalp conditions, treatment and advice about hair loss or simply to have hair or scalp conditioned. Whatever your reasons are, our aim is to significantly improve the health of your hair and scalp. Because we believe that a healthy scalp equals a healthy hair which translates to a healthy lifestyle and living.

Due to the current climate of self-isolation, social distancing and concerns about ‘unnecessary journeys’ we have taken steps to ensure we can still help you with your hair loss & scalp problems.

We have introduced an ‘On-line Consultation’ platform where the trichologist will be able to consult with you face to face via web-cam.

With an online consultation, it is slightly different;

1.  A detailed case history is taken, a preliminary examination is performed via webcam. I will be able to determine the general/potential issues which could be affecting the hair.

2.  Diagnostic tests are required, such as Blood tests, hair mineral analysis  or period od using certain products, medication etc.

After the online consultation, we may write to your GP for blood tests. However, in the present situation. I would not go to your GP  unless necessary.

The price of the online consultation is 75$ + Tax
